Demonstrationen gegen den Besuch von Blaise Compaoré in Berlin! Gerechtigkeit für Thomas Sankara! (Eng & Deut)

Donnerstag, 14. Juni 2012

(English Version:)

Demonstration against Blaise Compaoré's visit in Berlin! Justice for Thomas Sankara!

Thursday, June 14th 2012
7:45 am in front of Hotel Adlon in Berlin
02:45pm in front of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Kurfürstendamm 207-208,

AfricAvenir International, Arbeitskreis Panafrikanismus München, Berlin Postkolonial, the Senegalesische Vereinigung im Land Hessen and the Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland, ISD-Bund protest against the visit of Burkina Faso's President Blaise Compaoré's to Germany. We ask you to join the demonstration on Thursday, June 14th at 7:45 am in front of Hotel Adlon (Unter den Linden 77). Compaoré will meet there with German Members of Parliament at 8:00 am. The second demonstration will take place at 02:45pm in front of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Kurfürstendamm 207-208, where ICD and the German-African Business Association invited him to a business discussion.
This is a scandal! Hosting a President who came into power through treason and a bloody coup violates the foreign policy ethics of a state that advocates the protection of human rights. Compaoré has consolidated his hold on power over the past 25 years through a repressive regime and obscure international networks. He has also consistently instigated conflicts and wars in other African countries.
